Cristiano Ronaldo wins the World Player of the Year award
Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid's top scorer, has won the World Player of the Year award at the annual FIFA World Cup in London, Best of the Year Awards.

Ronaldo won the award after fierce competition with the two, Argentina's Lionel Messi and Barcelona striker Neymar da Silva of Paris St Germain.

Ronaldo was the most influential player in the Champions League last season, the most important tournament in 2017.

Ronaldo scored 10 goals for the club in the eight and eight gold and final, to lead him to the defense of the European title, the fourth title of Ronaldo in the history of his participation in the Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo also led the royal team to win the Spanish league and reaped with him the Super Cups, domestic and European, and played a very important role in Portugal's qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
