Qatar fails to host UNCAC conference 2023
Qatar has failed to obtain an international position within the various United Nations organizations and forums after the member states of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) rejected their request to host the tenth session of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention in 2023.

Diplomatic sources familiar with Vienna said that it came after Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and a large number of countries have faced intensive attempts by Qatar in the past two days to adopt a resolution granting it the right to host the tenth session of the conference, To host high-level international political events, particularly in the light of its involvement in the financing of terrorism.

The Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption is the largest international conference in the field of combating corruption. Egypt is to host the ninth session of the Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh in 2021. Egypt has been granted the right to host by unanimous agreement of all member states.
