Senegal are threatened with exclusion from the World Cup despite qualification
The English newspaper revealed a great surprise to the Senegalese team, the exclusion from the 2018 World Cup in Russia, despite qualification in the African qualifiers after the recent victory over South Africa.

The Senegalese national team qualified for the World Cup after beating South Africa 2-0 in the fifth round of the World Cup, after the re-match of South Africa 2-1, in order to manipulate the rule of the game result.

Burkina Faso and South Africa, the opponents of Senegal in the same group, appealed to the Sports Court against the return of the match. If accepted, the first result will be counted between the two teams. Senegal will not qualify for the fifth round and can be lost in the last round.

"Senegal is not yet qualified," said Sita Sangar, president of the Burkina Faso Football Federation. "This is the closest scenario.

"The sports court has not yet made its decision and has told us that our appeal is acceptable, and I have also informed the South African federation of that," he added.

"This appeal will be discussed on December 1," he said. "Now we need to win over Cape Verde with a big result, and Senegal are tied in Dakar to go up." "We have no doubt that the sports court will cancel the game which was held on Friday, should not have played from the ground."

Burkina Faso and Group D are six points clear of third-placed Cape Verde, while Senegal will be in first place with eight points if the last match is canceled and the first one scored, but in this case the Bafana Bafana will leap to the standings by 7 points.
