The motives of Devin Patrick Kelly in Texas are "family" and not religious
The gunman who killed 26 people in a state church on Sunday committed his crime because of a "family dispute," a security official in Texas said Friday.

"There was disagreement within this family," Freeman said, adding that Devin Patrick Kelly had been courted by the court. A military court in 2012 sentenced the former Air Force to violence against his wife and child.

US President Donald Trump said the shooting that killed 26 people in Texas does not raise the problem of arms control but the mental health of his execution.

"Mental health is the problem here is not an issue related to weapons," Trump told a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Tokyo.
