The 33-year-old actress had taken explicit photos of herself with her phone and sent them to her husband, film producer DeVon Franklin. However, once the photo scandal emerged, she began to be victimized again, this time she says, by fellow Christians.
“Thank you to everyone … who has been supportive, loving, encouraging and demonstrating the True love of God,” Good wrote on her Instagram earlier this week, “At the end of the day, we all know these pictures were for my husband.”
According to The Blaze, one of the more biting comments read, “Your married. Your husbands a pastor. And y’all send eachother nudes [sic]. How righteous is that union if ya’ll infatuated with the flesh? Oh right can’t be 100 percent pure because we fall short of perfect…”
People continued their attack and told her she should be ashamed of herself and that she brought it on herself. Good fired back saying it was her and her husband's privacy that was violated.
Good has a no nudity policy in place for her films. While this may limit her roles in Hollywood's eyes, she has still be able to get work and keep to her core belief in Christianity without compromising. This is why this leak is so devastating for her.
“These last few days have been hard. But I know that God is in the plan. I choose to trust him even when I don’t understand. After all, that’s what real faith is,” Good posted on her Instagram, “I will say it’s been disappointing to receive such harsh judgement and criticism from my own brothers and sisters when my husband and I were the ones who were violated and had our intimate moments exposed to the world against our will.”
