    In first incident ISIS dragged the rest of the abducted to its own headquarters in Hit district west of Ramadi Anbar.

    Al-Obeidi stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “Before afternoon, elements of the ISIS group kidnapped 30 people from the clan of al-Obeidi after attacking the village of al-Mashad in al-Baghdadi district, located 90 km western Ramadi.”

    “The hostages were driven to an unknown destination,” he added.
    For his part, Commander of Anbar Operations Maj. Gen. Qasim al-Mohamadi urged the government to send military reinforcements to back the security forces, stressing that the group continuously launches rocket attacks on the district.

    Joint forces retake center of al-Baghdadi in Anbar

    It is reported that Iraqi joint forces, consisting of Army troops and local police elements backed by tribal fighters, with support from the IAF and warplanes of the international coalition against ISIS, conducted a military operation against the ISIS group militants in the district of al-Baghdadi, located 90 km west of Ramadi, The operation resulted in liberating the center of the district, including all government buildings.

    The security forces have killed dozens of ISIS elements during the operation.
    Also Ministry of Defense announced Saturday that 53 terrorists including 5 leaders have been killed, 5 vehicles carrying machine guns were destroyed east of Fallujah in Anbar Province.
    The ministry said in a statement “ Based on accurate intelligence, we were informed of trapping plant, warehouses of fuel and ammunition and launching missiles bases located in al-Karama area and targeting the capital Baghdad; our forces were ordered to attack those targets.”

    Details of ISIS Attack on Ein al-Asad Airbase unfold

    Pentagon revealed the details of the ISIS attack on Ein al-Asad airbase west of Ramadi, asserting that no US soldiers were involved in repelling the attack and that it was limited to the Iraqi forces.

    The ministry’s spokesman, Rear Adm. John Kirby said in a statement “Iraqi security forces guarding the base had killed the 20-25 terrorists led by suicide bombers who made the attack. Most, if not all, of the attackers were wearing Iraqi military uniforms.”

    Pentagon confirmed ISIS’ seizure on the town of al-Baghdadi in Anbar province western Iraq but undermined the victory achieved by the militant group, saying it was the first time in the past two months for the terrorist group to make progress on ground.

    Another Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren said that the US forces had pushed autopilot drones and Apache helicopters to help.
