The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced on Thursday that it had decided to resume flights with Tunisia as it was before the recent emergency.

A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry and published by the Emirates News Agency said the decision "came in the light of intensive security communication and information obtained from the Tunisian side."

"In light of the threats and threats that must be avoided in the widest possible manner ... and in the light of intensive security and information obtained from the Tunisian side, the competent authorities in the UAE have decided to return the procedures that were in place prior to the emergency."

"The UAE highly appreciates the information provided by the Tunisian side and its keenness to dispel all concerns of the national carriers of the UAE."

The Ministry of Transport said in a statement: "The Ministry of Transport has learned about the resumption of the Emirates Airlines for flights to and from Tunisia."

The statement added: "This decision comes after contacts with the UAE side at various levels and reach an agreement."
