Russian planes are seen in the zone of a major military operation in Syria
The Su-34 fighter-bomber and the Su-24M bomber of the Russian Air Force were observed in the sky over East Guta in Syria. This is reported by the Telegram-channel Directorate 4, which is engaged in monitoring the situation in the Middle East, and publishes photos of aircraft.

It is noted that the Russian military are taking part in a major operation of the Syrian army to eliminate militants in this region.

On Sunday, February 18, troops of Syrian government forces began to strike at positions of Islamist groups in East Gut under Damascus. Militants are shelling the capital's quarters, RIA Novosti reports. According to the agency, more than 20 civilians were injured.

In eastern Gut, terrorists from the Ahrar al-Sham, the Failak ar-Rahman, the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, and the Jaysh al-Islam were established.
