The French judiciary has decided to extend the detention of Tareq Ramadan, the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, on charges of rape.

The New York Times reported that if Tareq Ramadan was referred to the French judiciary for rape cases, he could face up to 15 years in one case and 20 years in rape of a disabled woman.
