Officially: Brazilian Luis fabiano in Liverpool from Monaco until 2023
Liverpool have signed Brazilian midfielder Luis fabiano from Monaco for the first time in the new season, the Liverpool club announced on Monday.

The official website did not disclose the details of the deal, while press reports said Luis fabiano signed a contract with Liverpool for 5 years, for £ 40 million plus £ 4 million in incentives.

"I'm excited to start my career with Liverpool," Luis fabiano told Liverpool's official website. "It's a giant team, and joining him was a wish for me."

Liverpool's contract with Luis fabiano is to compensate for the departure of German star Imre Cane, who ended his contract with the Reds at the end of the season and did not renew his contract to move closer.

The 24-year-old has played 225 matches for Monaco, scoring 29 goals.
