US President Donald Trump criticized the US citizenship system for anyone born in the United States automatically, calling it "the ridiculous that must end." According to Donald Trump, this system should not include children of illegal immigrants.

Trump pointed out that he was working with a legal adviser to put an end to this practice, which has existed since 1968, and provides for automatic citizenship of any person born within US territory.

"We are the only country that a person comes to, and this child gives him American citizenship, with all these privileges," Trump said in an interview with the Axios website. "This is absurd and must end."

Trump added that the White House legal advisers had assured him that there was no need for amendments to the Constitution in order to revoke the citizenship of all those born in the United States. "This is enough for only a presidential decree," he said.
