    Indonesia Tsunami 2018: Krakatoa Children's Tragedy may be a key tsunami - Disaster agency, JAKARTA: At least 20 dead when hundreds of injuries in the tsunami disaster in Indonesia are likely triggered by a volcano known as Anak Krakatoa, according to employees today.

    National Disaster Agency spokesman, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said, dozens of buildings were destroyed by the devastating waves that hit the beaches of South Sumatra and the western tip of Java at 9.30pm local time.

    "20 people are dead and 165 are injured while two are still missing in three regions," he said in one reality.

    The authorities said the tsunami might also have been triggered by abnormal tidal waves and underwater collapsed land following the eruption of the Anak Krakatoa volcano.

    However, Nugroho added that the Indonesian Geological Agency would be able to work on the stem as real as the biggest disaster.

    Anak Krakatoa, a small volcano that emerged from the sea in the last half century after the devastating eruption of Krakatoa in 1883 is one of 127 volcanoes still active in Indonesia.
