    Lamar Davenport has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the death of Morgan Freeman's political granddaughter, E'Dena Hines, according to TMZ.

    The 33-year-old was stabbed 25 times by her then boyfriend, Lamar Davenport, who was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, near her apartment in 2015 in New York, United States, The Wrap reported.

    Initially Lamar Davenport was declared acquitted of murder in the second degree, after his lawyer argued that he was drugged at the time of the event.

    However, in May 2018 he was found guilty of first degree murder, so the murderer of Morgan Freeman's political granddaughter was finally sentenced on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

    It should be noted that when the criminal is released, he will be under supervision for five years.
